ScreenFlowy or FocuSee: which should you choose?
ScreenFlowy and FocuSee are both screen recorders that zoom in on your clicks automatically, and both have 3D camera moves, webcam background removal, iPhone recording and a teleprompter. The difference is how far free takes you. ScreenFlowy is a free download: 480p and 720p exports are free forever, with no watermark, and Pro, a one-time $49.99, unlocks 1080p and up, plus GIF. FocuSee’s free trial exports just one video; after that, it’s a yearly subscription (from $49.99 a year) or a one-time $199.99 for version 2.x. If you want to use it free for the long run, with no account to sign up for, choose ScreenFlowy; if you need the same app on Windows too, you can choose FocuSee.

Price: how far free takes you

FocuSee offers a free trial that lets you try the standard features and export one video. Regular use means a yearly subscription from $49.99 a year, or a monthly one; there’s also a one-time $199.99 licence, limited to FocuSee version 2.x.
Features: both are well equipped
Both build camera moves from your clicks automatically, and both have 3D camera moves, cursor styling, keystroke display, webcam background removal, iPhone recording, aspect ratio switching and a teleprompter: plenty for product demos and tutorials.
ScreenFlowy’s camera moves follow real physics, and each one can be set to 2D or 3D on the timeline. Your webcam records to its own track, so you can change its shape and position after the take, while Portrait and Studio Light soften the look.
